Super Singers & Schola Cantorum

Choir loft during service

Super Singers

“Super Singers” is held every Friday at 11:00am in the Choir Room.  This informal time is set aside as an opportunity for choristers to take a closer look at the music we sing.  Super Singers is offered to help singers to be prepared and confident in singing the music for our mass.  Maybe you’re not sure of one particular phrase and you’d like to hear it again?  Maybe you had to miss rehearsal last Tuesday due to a prior commitment?  Maybe you just want to learn something new about music?
These are all reasons to be a Super Singer on Friday’s at 11:00am. After Super Singers, stay for 12:15 Mass in the Lady Chapel.

The Schola Cantorum

The Schola Cantorum is a smaller vocal ensemble that sings primarily for Holy Week.  This 8 voice choir sings early church music, from the Medieval, Renaissance and early Baroque eras, prior to the time of J.S. Bach.  This choir rehearses at 5:45 -6:50 on Tuesday’s beginning in Lent.
